IKEA City - Hammersmith

I planned and directed the end-to-end graphic communication strategy for IKEA’s very first high-street concept footprint in the UK. The challenge was completely unique: taking a globally recognized brand framework and compressing it into a tight, fast-paced urban layout where layout clarity was absolutely critical.

By focusing on IKEA’S Tone and Voice brand guidelines, high-contrast spatial graphics, and a simplified navigation blueprint, my team designed a wayfinding system that transformed how visitors interacted with the space. This design overhaul directly resulted in a 25% increase in audience engagement. Additionally, by rethinking our media planning, we cut physical printed materials by 30%, proving that high-impact environmental design can be sustainable.
